I'm just a girl... standing behind a camera... asking you to laugh at my fart jokes.
But seriously. I'll probably make some kind of noise to make your kid laugh and I apologize... kinda... it'll end up being a really cute photo, and that's all that counts, right?!
For over 10 years now, I've been blessed to photograph some of DFW's most beautiful children and families. Yup, that includes you. YOU. We have fun, we cut through the awkwardness of being in front of the camera with bad knock-knock jokes, and in the end I want you squealing with delight when you open up your gallery.
Real talk?! That photo over there is of me and my husband, Mikel... circa 12-ish years ago now. When we were both young and thin. Ha! New photo coming soon... I've been busy having 3 kiddos and building my own business. Do as I say, not as I do... get photos with your family on the regular! You won't regret it!
Those precious pumpkins over there are my babies, as photographed in March 2018.
Arabella is 7 and a half (don't forget the half, it's very important!) and is a rule following, brilliant, type A creative. You heard me. She can often be found in her own imaginary world being the world's first astronaut-florist-chef. She's fabulous.
Adeleine is our 3-going-on-30 year old rambunctious, sassy, future boss. Who am I kidding? She's a BOSS now. We're all hoping to survive her adolescence, and wouldn't have it any other way. She's amazing and is going to change the world.
Samuel is our perfect, can-do-no-wrong-as-of-right-now 1 year old. Ha! His personality is just really starting to shine through and we can tell he's going to be a funny little man that loves animals and gives his sisters a run for their money. Mischief is in this little man's future. Bring it on!
This is all shared to show that my children, blessed and beautiful as they are, are just like your kiddos. They have personality and sass (Addie just recently agreed to be in photos with her siblings for the first time ever. She's our "solo artist"!). They don't sit in perfect poses and I had to sing "Baby Shark" to make them all look and smile at the same time. Your kiddos are going to be a piece of cake compared to photographing my own kiddos - I can almost guarantee it!
All that being said... look over there. That's from Addie's newborn photos. Isn't it magical? This is framed big in my house and hangs right near the entrance to my kitchen. Big personalities involved? Yup! Bella was 4 and a half when this was taken and wasn't always the most cooperative. Addie came out of the womb with attitude. But, beautiful, perfect, breathtaking images are possible. Always. Don't be scared. I'm not.
